We are people who enjoy tea. We are not tea fanatics or purists. We enjoy trying all different kinds of tea, whether it be a strict, pure green or black tea or a tea blend from a local tea shop. We enjoy more than just drinking tea for the sake of quenching a thirst. We enjoy for experience and for the moment for ourselves it provides, away from the busyness of life. We want to share this people through tea, whether it’s a custom blended tea for a special event, a gift, for your office or business or a pre-blended just for you.
How it started
I was never a coffee drinker and with the cold winters in Ottawa, Canada, I needed something to keep me warm throughout the cold months. I was exclusively a hot chocolate and apple cider drinker for a long time but then found all the sugar was too much. So I started drinking tea.
It started with tea bags. Green tea, peppermint, chamomile, all the classics. Then I found Celestial Seasonings. This was great because they had so many different tea flavours. But again, bags of tea. Stash Tea was another brand with many different flavours, but again bags. My father was a big tea drinker, always drinking a cup of tea with a cookie. My sister and I would get him little teapots and teacups from all over the world. In time he had acquired quite a little collection of teacups and tea pots. Unfortunately, he's now in a long term care facility due to his Parkinson's and wasn't able to take his collection with him. I have them now.
In the fall of 2017 I started browsing through Instagram. I thought it would be fun to post but didn't know what. I decided to feature one of my fathers teacups or teapots in each of my posts. I then realized I need to put something in those teacups and teapots. That's when I started getting into loose leaf tea again but in a bigger way.
It started by sharing my father's teacups and teapots, then sharing my thoughts on different teas and tea blends and now i'd like to share that joy by offering custom teas and teas to others.
Above is a picture of some of my father's teapots together in a circle, waiting to be used. Throughout the site, you'll see pictures of teacups and teapots, many of which are his.
