You’ll never guess what I found at the Metcalfe farmers market? I didn’t even know this item existed but it does. Very clever creation. A pin cushion in the form of a donut! Beautifully created, designed and sewn by this vendor at the Metcalfe farmers market.
I was very surprised by this farmer’s market. First, I had never been to Metcalfe, ON, or at least not knowingly. It’s a very small town. But it is very cute. I wasn’t expecting much from the market because the first farmer’s market I went to this year was not too impressive. But of course, it’s the beginning of the season. However, when I arrived, I was surprised. There were cars parked on the grass and a path lined with vendors and quite a variety. People selling plants, baked goods, food, and fresh vegetables even meat. It was great. But then I followed the bath to the barn and there was more inside! OMG! There was a barn full of vendors. There was even a tea company selling tea! Wood craftsmen/people selling their crafts, a jewelry vendor, even a soap and natural skin care maker. I wasn’t expecting this at all. And baked goods! The Metcalfe farmers market was definitely a surprise and one I would go back to again. There is even a night market event that I have to check out! Definitely look for the pin cushion lady and the gluten free cook baker. Both really worth it!
