Who am I?

I am someone who enjoys food and drink. In particular tea.  I’m not a tea fanatic or sommelier or a cook or chef. Just someone who enjoys cooking, eating, drinking, trying new foods and drinks, and most of all sharing. I enjoy trying all different kinds of tea, whether it be a strictly pure green or black tea or a tea blend from a local tea shop.  I enjoy more than just drinking tea for the sake of quenching my thirst.  It is the joy of the experience of making and drinking a cup of tea. It’s that moment for ourselves, away from the busyness of life.  I want to share this with people through tea, good food, and experiences.

Father's teapots

How it started

In the fall of 2017, I started browsing through Instagram. I thought it would be fun to post but didn’t know what.  I decided to feature one of my father’s teacups or teapots in each of my posts.  I  then realized I need to put something in those teacups and teapots. That’s when I started getting into loose-leaf tea again but in a bigger way.

It started by sharing my father’s teacups and teapots, then sharing my thoughts on different teas and tea blends on Instagram. I even tried my hand at selling tea blends, however, this was before I knew anything about e-commerce and online sales. Over time the tea posts turned to recipes and then experiences that involved food or drink or just a way to take a moment for ourselves.

How it has evolved

A lot has happened and changed since starting this site including saying goodbye to my dog; saying goodbye to my father; starting a business; Covid-1; closing a business; changing careers, and welcoming a new puppy. Throughout food and drink have been a constant yet different as can be seen by the posts.

Where it is going

Who knows! The summer of 2022 brought about the return of activities and gatherings throughout the world. As much as I enjoy food, I also enjoy shopping for food and fresh and homemade foods. So started my adventures at farmers markets throughout the region. Now with the addition of a new puppy who is a bit of a fussy eater, 2023 has been more about looking at things related to dogs, pets, training, and of course, making homemade dog treats and biscuits. Where it goes from there, who knows!
